Description
This SAFECOM is regarding a controller malfunction on a 3DR Solo machine. While conducting manual landing {in GPS/”Fly” mode}, when the “disarm” function is initiated by pulling back on the left stick after landing, a “Controller Fault” was triggered. When the fault is triggered, the aircraft automatically enters a special “Return to Launch” mode. The special mode locks out any ability to provide inputs to the aircraft {except A+B+Pause}. This fault caused the aircraft to flip over on landing {aircraft, with no permanent damage {scraped up rotors}. When the fault occurred a red banner is displayed on the controller that reads “Controller Fault. Contact 3DR Support”.
